Watch Video Ryan Reynolds is pretty much the perfect man.
Tall, dark and handsome? Tick, tick and tick.
He’s also got a killer bod (again on display in his latest flick), superhero credentials, plus he can do funny, too.
And it doesn’t stop there. A whole new side to the actor – the smart and responsible Ryan – comes out in full force in his role in psychological thriller Safe House as overlooked rookie CIA agent Matt Weston.
Despite Matt being pretty much the worst man for the job, he displays ample heroics when mercenaries attack the Cape Town safe house he’s stationed at to protect ex-agent-turned-fugitive Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington).
Somehow, Matt makes it out of the safe house with Tobin in one piece and the pair goes on the run, but Matt, with no field experience, is in way over his head.
As he tries to get to the bottom of the attack and work out who he can trust, he also has to contend with the mind games played by Tobin, who proves as much of a hindrance as a help. It’s here again that Ryan impresses, holding his own with Oscar-winner Denzel in a tense and action-packed race against the clock.
Man candy? Yes, but in this flick, Ryan shows he’s more than just a pretty package.
