Does the newly divorced Zooey Deschanel have her eye on a former co-star?
Zooey Deschanel has become everyone’s new favourite It girl – and now there are reports the divorced star has found love again with actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt!
Whispers of a romance between the indie darlings began when they starred together in the quirky 500 Days of Summer, but as Zooey, 32, was married at the time to Ben Gibbard – the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie – she and Joseph laughed it off.
‘I’ve known Joe for going on 12 years. We met while doing a tiny movie called Manic, and I’ve been lucky enough to call him one of my dearest friends ever since,’ the New Girl star says.
But since Ben, 35, and Zooey announced their split in November, rumours have heated up. After Zooey and Joseph, 30, released a cute YouTube video together, singing What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?, one headline echoed many, screaming, ‘Will they just date already?!’
The good ‘friends’ have certainly seemed inseparable lately, and if Zooey’s praise for Joseph – ‘He’s simply the best!’ she gushes – is anything to go by, there may just be a new Hollywood couple on the radar…
