The Queen of Burlesque, Dita Von Teese, has designed a limited dress collection, Muse, which will launch exclusively at David Jones in November.

The well-respected fashion icon is known for her distinctive style and immaculate presentation, and remains a role-model for new-generation women. The elegant star encourages women to create their own beauty and sexiness, regardless of their age, size or ethnicity. ‘Offering a collection that caters to women of all sizes is very important to me,’ says the 39-year-old. ‘Muse is designed to complement a multitude of body shapes, so every woman can celebrate her natural beauty and feel sexy in a gorgeous dress.’

Dita Von Teese Muse features five fabulous pieces, including vintage-inspired dresses and a tulle-layered trench coat, which are available in sizes 8 to 20. The timeless collection also showcases a stunning original rose print and the cinched waist that the fashion muse is so renowned for. David Jones’s general manager of womenswear, David Bush, agrees. ‘Its feminine aesthetic and strong tailoring are reflective of Dita herself and it is this celebration of the female silhouette that we believe customers will respond really well to and be excited by,’ he says.

The beauty will be in Australia this month to launch the brand, and will be wearing one of her pieces to the iconic Derby Day at Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. The exclusive retro-glam range is a world-first for Dita Von Teese and will feature at David Jones in Australia from November.
