In a spectacular fall from grace, Matthew Newton is back in rehab and facing assault charges
It was supposed to be a romantic getaway for two stars with busy schedules. On the way to Ireland to film a segment for his comeback TV vehicle, The X Factor, Matthew Newton met up with his gorgeous girlfriend, actress Rachael Taylor – herself on a break from filming The Darkest Hour in Moscow. But their Roman holiday turned horrific as a public dispute in a hotel lobby revealed that Matthew’s battle with addiction and anger issues is very, very far from over.
The embattled actor’s life and career are now lying in tatters and the 33-year-old is back in rehab on ‘medical advice’.
