Antonio Banderas hammed it up at a photo call for The Skin I Live In (or La Piel Que Habito) in Cannes. The Spanish film – which is being shown in competition at the 64th Cannes Film Festival – is ‘a kind of homecoming’ for Antonio, as its director, Pedro Almódovar, helped give him his acting start over 20 years ago in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988) and Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1990). ‘Coming back to Pedro Almódovar is a form of recognition, of gratitude,’ Antonio said, ‘because he occupies a special place in my life. He gave me my artistic education.’
